Hotel or pension in Oberhof – your choice
We, the Schulz family, have diligently built a quietly situated hotel from a once unused house on the edge of the forest, but with a wonderful view over the Kehl valley, with the best conditions for hiking or skiing. Thus, from 2008 to the end of 2009, a small, familiar and cosy guesthouse with 15 rooms was created, each one a little different, but all furnished with love and heart.
Besides the breakfast room and a small sauna, we could surprise our guests here with single rooms, double rooms with and without balcony, suites with separate living and bedroom as well as flats of about 90 square meters, with two or even three separate bedrooms and a large living area.
The flats are gladly booked by families with children and the inexpensive standard double rooms by guests who do not attach great importance to room size, as they want to spend the whole day in our beautiful nature. The room size, depending on the room, is between 17 and 23 square metres.
Guests who like it a bit more spacious, we could offer our suites. Meanwhile the circle of our regular guests has grown more and more, so that we had to refuse more and more often enquiries.
For this reason we have decided to enlarge our house in 2017.
A new building with 12 deluxe double rooms, three deluxe suites and a sauna area of 250 sqm, a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, Kneipp basins, resting areas, bicycle room and waxing room for the skis was created.
With the new lobby and the enlarged breakfast area, the two buildings have practically merged into one. Now we can, which makes us very proud, meet almost all requirements.
You want to go hiking, be out in the fresh air and are looking for the cheapest possible room? Then the standard rooms in the pension area are the right choice for you.
You like it bigger or really big?
Then we can only recommend our suites and flats. In our new building, which we call Hotel Traumblick, we offer you in 12 deluxe double rooms with a room size of 40 sqm, a large bathroom with a floor-level shower, a window front with a view of the valley that gives the hotel its name, as well as your own balcony. The size and the equipment do not let any narrowness arise even if you stay for several days.
If that is still not enough for you, our deluxe suites are available, which have a separate living room and bedroom, as well as their own balcony. Our pride and joy, the Schneekopf suite even has its own infrared cabin. What all rooms in the new building have in common: they are spacious, have a fantastic view, are very tastefully furnished and access to the sauna area is included in the room price.
