The rooms in the Hotel Traumblick are all over 40 square metres in size and have their own balcony with the “dream view” of the valley. Through the large south-east facing window front of the hotel you can enjoy beautiful sunrises.
All rooms and suites in the new hotel are marked “Deluxe”. Guests in the hotel section therefore occupy the spacious new building and the use of the sauna is also included in the room price. You can start your holiday day in the hotel Traumblick with a cosy breakfast from the breakfast buffet. Afterwards, you will be strengthened for an extensive hike in the Oberhof holiday region. Or you go on an excursion and discover Thuringia.

Suite Schneekopf
Our Suite Schneekopf is from our view the most beautiful room in our new hotel. Situated at the very top, it offers a really fantastic view over the valley of the Kehl, down to the valley of the wild Gera. The mountain peaks all around bear the names Schneekopf and Kickelhahn. The suite consists of an approx. 30 square meter large living room, equipped with couch, armchair, coffee table, large flat TV, dining table and mini bar. The bedroom, also approx. 25 square metres large, with a large double bed, also Flat TV and filing possibilities and, who does not like the public sauna area, will also find an infrared sauna in the 18 square metres large bath, just for himself. Especially guests who prefer a more generous holiday, who love the individual, prefer to book this suite.

Hotel Traumblick Oberhof
Something to ourselves:
The Hotel Traumblick Oberhof is located directly at the forest and thus on the outskirts of Oberhof. If you prefer a beautiful view, peace and fresh air to the hustle and bustle of the city centre, then you’ve come to the right place. If, for example, you want to go shopping in our sports shops during the day, no problem. In about 15 leisurely minutes on foot you are already in the city centre.
Not far into the city and right here on site you can join the cross-country ski run or the hiking trail network of Oberhof.
In 2009 we were inspired by the beautiful location of the old Kehl Valley. The building, at that time in need of renovation was one thing, but the beautiful location and the view captivated us, so that we finally decided to invest here. The Pension Traumblick took shape and with it a hospitable house with 17 rooms and a small breakfast room. In the first years we were mainly visited by hikers, small groups, families, cyclists and bikers.
And we are particularly proud of the fact that many of our guests who visited us back then came back again and again and still do so today.
Cordiality and hospitality were, are and will always be our top priority!
This maxim is sufficiently rewarded by the ever-increasing number of guests who become regular guests.
Of course, we are always getting tips on what is great and what could perhaps be improved. And again and again we were asked about rooms that improve a visit of several days, i.e. rooms that are bigger. In autumn and winter the sauna was missing and especially older guests missed a lift.
In 2017 it started. A new hotel complex was built, directly attached to our pension. Twelve very large, bright double rooms, several suites and a 250 sqm sauna area with Finnish sauna, bio sauna, relaxation rooms and Kneipp basins were created. All rooms here have their own balcony with the beautiful, name-giving view over the Kehl valley, from Kickelhahn to Schneekopf. A tasteful and modern interior certainly leaves nothing to be desired in terms of cosiness. And of course, especially for our older guests, there is now a lift.
And so we now have the opportunity to offer all our guests what they want.
You would like to spend the day in the nature and are looking for an inexpensive, comfortable room, which can be a little smaller with 17-25 sqm? Then we recommend a standard room in the existing building. Pets are also very welcome here.
You are travelling as a family and would like a room with several bedrooms and a large living area?
Then we recommend our flats which, with almost 100 square metres, two and even three separate bedrooms, two toilets and a large living room, four or six people have enough space to enjoy a relaxing holiday.
You are on holiday for two and would like it to be more spacious?
Then we recommend our deluxe double rooms in the new building. They have their own balcony, the dream view over the valley, panoramic windows, 40 square metres room size, a large and modern bathroom with a floor-level shower, free WLan, large flat TV etc., no wishes should remain unfulfilled. Guests in this part of the house can also use the sauna area free of charge.
At the very top you will find our Hotel Oberhof Deluxe Suites with separate living/bedrooms, several TV’s, of course a large bathroom, balcony with dream view and in the Suite Schneekopf even an infrared sauna.
Many things have changed in the last years, one thing has remained the same:
A good breakfast with predominantly Thuringian quality products! And also we still do not offer a warm kitchen. So every guest has the free choice of where and what to eat. There are many good and very differently oriented restaurants and inns in the village. In a few minutes you can be in the centre of town and so you can try something new every day.
